Special Saturday fireworks kicks off upcoming series

KODAK, Tenn. – The Tennessee Smokies, the Double-A affiliate of the Chicago Cubs, return home for a four-game series with the Jackson Generals starting on Saturday, July 14.  Come out and cheer on the Smokies as the homestand features a special Saturday fireworks extravaganza, Dog Days of Summer and $1 Hot Dogs.

The homestand kicks off with a special 6:30 p.m. Saturday game time.   Make sure to wear your NLF team’s colors on NFL night and during the game selected fans will have the chance to walk away with some cash in the CNB Money Grab.  Following the fans can enjoy the postgame ball toss, sponsored by Fast Frame, and a special fireworks shows, sponsored by Knoxville News Sentinel, Pepsi, Coors Light, WIMZ and WVLT TV-8.

Bring the family to the park on Sunday’s 5:00 pm game, as the U.S. Cellular Family FUNday allows a family of four to purchase four tickets that includes four meal vouchers and two wristbands to the Kids Zone for just $48!  Alzheimer’s Tennessee Awareness Night is also on Sunday and join the fight against this terrible disease by wearing purple.  You can purchase tickets for $10 by going to alztennessee.org/baseball and $3 of each purchase will go to Alzheimer’s Tennessee.

The Dog Days of Summer are upon us, and we’re celebrating by letting our favorite canines join us at Smokies Park for Monday’s 7:15 game!  Enjoy a night out on the berm with your pup as part of the promotion sponsored by Frontline, Heartgard and PetSafe.  As every Monday, it’s $1 hot dog night, sponsored by Pilot, Oscar Mayer and WATE TV-6.

Residents and employees of Jefferson and Hamblen County can enjoy the game at a discount at Tuesday’s 7:15 game.  By presenting an ID or pay stub at the box office and receiving $2 discount on field level and bleacher tickets.

Smokies tickets can be purchased at http://www.smokiesbaseball.com or at (865) 286-2300.  Adult field level or bleacher seats are $10/$8.  Child (12-and-under) and senior (55+) field level or bleacher seats are $9/$7.  Fans buying tickets at least four hours before game time get  $1 off each ticket.

The Smokies Radio Network is the official radio network for the Chicago Cubs AA affiliate, the Tennessee Smokies. Daily broadcasts begin with the Pilot-Oscar Mayer pre-game show airing 15 minutes before every game. Following the game the broadcast concludes with the Edward Jones Investments post-game show.
