JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Tennessee Smokies outfielder Jae-Hoon Ha was injured chasing a foul ball down the right field line during Tennessee’s Thursday night contest against the Jacksonville Suns at the Baseball Grounds.

Ha ran into a side-wall down the right field wall near the corner and would be taken off the field in a stretcher before he was taken by ambulance to a Jacksonville hospital.

Ha was reportedly responsive and talking with Smokies staff and medical personnel before he left the playing field on a stretcher.

We will have more updates throughout the night on this situation, along with reaction from Smokies manager Buddy Bailey during tonight’s Tenth Inning Wrap Up Show.

Ha, you’re the man. I wish you a speedy recovery. The world of baseball needs you, and your team isn’t the same without you. All the best.

Any update? Was at the game last night as a Suns fan and that was a horrific collision– straight in, full speed. Hoping he’s ok. Ha and Lake looked good last night.

Any update on Ha? We were at the game and he’s a great player. Sad to see him injured in this manner. He offers 100%, 100% of the time.
