The Tennessee Smokies look for a series win against the Jacksonville Suns in tonight’s fourth game of the series at the Baseball Grounds of Jacksonville.
The Smokies saw their three-game winning streak come to an end yesterday, falling 6-4 to the Suns.
The big news from last night’s game was that Smokies right fielder Jae-Hoon Ha was injured running into a side wall down the right field ball while chasing a fly ball that went foul. Ha was taken off the field on a stretcher and transported via ambulance to a Jacksonville hospital, but was responsive according to reports.
The Smokies Radio Network will have an update this afternoon on the condition of Jae-Hoon Ha from Smokies manager Buddy Bailey.
Tonight Tennessee will send right-hander Ty’Relle Harris to the mound in the fourth game of the series. Harris is 0-1 with a 2.70 this season with the Smokies. Starting for Jacksonville is left-hander Jose Alvarez, who is 3-5 with a 3.91 ERA this season.
Fans can listen to the games on the Smokies Radio Network, with the “Voice of the Smokies” Mick Gillispie entering his sixth season as Tennessee’s Director of Broadcasting. The 2010 Southern League Broadcaster of the Year is assisted by Cody Chrusciel, Roger Hoover, Jonathan Guess, and Adam King.
