Tennessee added two more runs in the second. Chad Noble and Dae-Eun Rhee led off the inning with walks and Noble advanced to third on Szczur’s fly out to put runners at the corners. A wild pitch by Bolsinger allowed Noble to score and on the next pitch Watkins singled to center to advance Rhee to third, but a wild throw by center fielder Evan Frey allowed Rhee to score and give Tennessee a 5-0 advantage.
The BayBears cut into the Tennessee lead in the third when Matt Mangini hit a two-run single to narrow Mobile’s deficit to 5-2.
