The Smokies’ video of a very intense lightning bolt that struck just beyond the left field scoreboard at Smokies Stadium went viral on social media Friday, with the video even airing on national television outlets, including ABC World News. See the video below.
The video was also retweeted on Twitter by the Weather Channel’s Jim Cantore, in addition to being shown on WBIR in Knoxville, as well as ABC World News with Diane Sawyer as part of a story on the nasty spring weather that came through the region.
