As Ernie Banks says, “Let’s play two!” The Smokies and Mudcats will square off in a doubleheader this evening at Five County Stadium.
The doubleheader will begin with Game One at 5:45 p.m. Fans can listen to the game on our online link at smokiesbaseball.com. The Sports Animal will pick up game one in progress at 7 p.m. The teams will play two seven inning games, and in between games Mick Gillispie will send it back to the Knoxville studios where Roger Hoover and Alex Powell will host the Pilot-Oscar Mayer “In-Between Games” Show. The two will break down game one, as well as play an interview with Smokies manager Bill Dancy. They will also get you set for game two by giving you the starting lineups and breaking down the pitching matchup.
Following game two, Hoover and Powell will be back at it again for the Tenth Inning Wrap-Up Show.
It should be a blast to play 14 innings tonight and the Smokies Radio Network is there for all the action, beginning online at 5:45.
