Severe thunderstorms prevented the Tennessee Smokies and Jacksonville Suns from playing baseball on Thursday night at Smokies Park.
Gusting winds caused problems with the tarp, as seen in the video above. The tarp-nami video has gone viral, and the Smokies are making headlines across the country this morning. The tarp incident was shown on ABC’s Good Morning America, and has been posted on Yahoo’s Big League Stew and Deadspin.
For now the sun is shining at Smokies Park, and tonight the Smokies and Suns will play a double-header beginning at 5 p.m.
