The Tennessee Smokies look to extend their three-game winning streak on Thursday night, facing the Jacksonville Suns at the Baseball Grounds of Jacksonville at 7:35 p.m.
The Smokies can clinch a series victory with a win tonight, and also climb to within a game of the five-hundred mark in the second half.
Tonight Tennessee will send right-hander Dallas Beeler to the mound. This season he is 4-6 with a 4.11 ERA. Starting for the Suns is left-hander Brian Flynn, who will make his Southern League debut on Thursday night. Flynn was acquired by the Miami Marlins in a trade from the Detroit Tigers in a five-player swap that included Omar Infante and Anibal Sanchez going to the Tigers.
