MOBILE 9, JACKSONVILLE 8: The BayBears withstood a furious rally from the Suns and regained the lead in the top of the 8th inning on Ender Inciarte’s solo home run, his third of the season.  Dustin Martin led the BayBears going 4-for-5 with a home run and two RBIs while Nick Evans also hit a two-run homer.

Tonight’s Starters: MOB: David Holmberg (5-4, 2.41 ERA) JAX: Adam Conley (7-4, 3.96 ERA)

BIRMINGHAM 6, HUNTSVILLE 2: Birmingham broke a 2-2 tie with four, two-out runs in the top of the 9th to take the middle game of their five-game series in Huntsville.  Jared Mitchell drew a bases-loaded walk to give the Barons a 3-2 advantage and Michael Earley followed with a three-run double to put the game out of reach.

Tonight’s Starters: BIR: Michael Nix (3-1, 3.04 ERA) HVL: David Goforth (2-1, 4.60 ERA)

MISSISSIPPI 2, CHATTANOOGA 0: Ian Thomas tossed six scoreless innings as the Braves won their third straight game over the Lookouts.  Mississippi got both of their runs in the first inning off Andres Santiago.  Jose Martinez and Christian Marrero hit back-to-back RBI singles with two outs to send Chattanooga to their fourth straight loss.

Tonight’s Starters: CHA: Garrett Gould (1-0, 3.38 ERA) MIS: Gus Schlosser (6-2, 2.36 ERA)

PENSACOLA 0, MONTGOMERY 0 (2): This game was suspended and will be resumed beginning at 6:05 PM ET. Game 2 of the night will begin approximately 30 minutes after the first game finishes.

Tonight’s Starters (Game 2): PNS: Josh Smith (7-7, 3.44 ERA) MTG: Victor Mateo (3-8, 5.70 ERA)
