BIRMINGHAM 5, CHATTANOOGA 2 (7): Birmingham assured themselves a series victory in a rain-shortened game at Regions Field. The Barons jumped on Zach Lee with three runs in the first inning highlighted by a two-run home run by Dan Black. Newly-acquired outfielder Brandon Jacobs drove home a run in the third inning and is hitting .333 so far with the team.

PENSACOLA 7, HUNTSVILLE 5: Pensacola snapped their three-game losing streak with a comeback victory last night. After the Stars scored four times in the top of the 6th to take a 5-3 lead, the Blue Wahoos responded with four runs of their own in the bottom of the 7th. Mike Costanzo hit a two-run home run to tie the game and Donald Lutz put Pensacola in front for good with an RBI triple.

MONTGOMERY 2, MOBILE 1 (11): Kyeong Kang tied the game in the top of the 7th with a home run and put the Biscuits ahead in the 11th with another solo home run as Montgomery clinched a series victory over Mobile. The Biscuits have won three one-run games in this series including two extra-inning victories.
