JACKSONVILLE 12, CHATTANOOGA 4: The Suns pounded out 16 hits and had three multi-run innings as they extended their lead in the South Division. J.T. Realmuto went 4-for-5 with a home run and Danny Pertusati went 2-for-5 with a home run and four driven in. Matt Neil threw six scoreless innings for the win.
Tonight’s Starters: CHA: Chris Reed (3-8, 3.62 ERA) JAX: Robert Morey (4-7, 4.63)
PENSACOLA 2, MOBILE 0: Daniel Renken threw six shutout innings for the win as the Blue Wahoos got a run in each of the first two innings. Yorman Rodriguez hit a solo home run in the bottom of the first and Ray Chang doubled the lead in the second with an RBI double.
Tonight’s Starters: MOB: Bo Schultz (3-2, 2.70 ERA) PNS: Tim Crabbe (4-7, 3.33 ERA)
MISSISSIPPI 4, MONTGOMERY 2: The Braves scored four times in the third inning and it was enough to secure a 4-2 win. Christian Bethencourt got the scoring started with an RBI single and Robby Hefflinger had the biggest hit of the inning with a three-run double.
Tonight’s Starters: MTG: Mike Colla (4-1, 3.16 ERA) MIS: Mitch Atkins (2-1, 2.54 ERA)
HUNTSVILLE 5, JACKSON 3: The Stars got their second straight win over the Generals thanks to a three-run sixth inning. Trailing 3-2, Eric Patterson put Huntsville in front with a two-run single. A throwing error allowed another run to score and that was enough for the Stars to earn the victory. Andy Moye allowed three unearned runs in five innings for his fifth win of the season.
