The Chicago Cubs recently announced their Spring Training broadcast schedule, with Tennessee Smokies Director of Broadcasting Mick Gillispie once again joining Cubs broadcaster Len Kasper to call 23 contests on Cubs.com. The broadcasts will be available for free on the site, with the first broadcast and Cactus League game on February 27 in the Cubs’ brand-new complex in Mesa, Arizona.
2014 marks the fourth consecutive year Gillispie, who has called Smokies games since the 2007 campaign, will broadcast Cubs Spring Training contests.
“On a snowy and cold day like this, it’s great to know baseball is so close to starting,” said Gillispie.
Games from Feburary 27 through March 8 begin at 3:05 p.m. ET unless otherwise noted, while contests from March 9 will start at 4:05 p.m. ET, unless otherwise noted. Below is the entire broadcast schedule:

“The broadcasts are going to be so much fun this year because of all the Cubs prospects with MLB camp invites,” added Gillispie. “So many former, future and current Smokies are on the roster. Tennessee will be well represented.”
Among those former Smokies are seven members of the 2013 Smokies who received invites from the Cubs as non-roster invitees. Right-handed pitchers Marcus Hatley, Kyle Hendricks, Armando Rivero and Brian Schlitter, left-handed hurler Eric Jokisch, catcher Rafael Lopez and infielder Javier Baez were among 24 total non-roster players that have been invited to the Cubs’ Big League camp.
