Ron Santo

On June 26, 1960, a 20-year-old third baseman made his debut with the Chicago Cubs, the first and only team he would play for in a 15-year career.

Mick Gillispie told the story of Ron Santo’s Major League debut – and his route to the Hall of Fame – during the sixth inning of the Smokies’ game against the Jackson Generals on Thursday.
