A few of the former Smokies who helped propel the team to the playoffs have been bright spots for the Cubs this Spring Training. Eric Jokisch is looking sensational as he has yet to allow a run in 6.0 innings and has struck out five batters. Kyle Hendricks hasn’t been nearly as impressive as Jokisch, but in 8.0 innings he as thrown, he has struck out 10 batters. Javier Baez has been tearing it up at the plate as he is hitting .276 (8-29) while crushing three home runs.
