Buck Night on Tap for Smokies’ Upcoming Homestand

KODAK, Tenn. – The Tennessee Smokies return home this Tuesday night to kick off a five-game series with the Montgomery Biscuits.  Headlining this homestand will be Star Wars Night, Buck Night and a special appearance by Trevor Bayne’s Nationwide Series show car.

Kicking things off, Tuesday’s 7:15 game will be Smokies Park’s first Buck Night, where hot dogs, small sodas and small popcorns are only $1 each.  Tuesday is also another Pilot Prize night – where everyone’s a winner.

Wednesday’s 11:30 a.m. is another Safe Kids Health and Awareness Day, sponsored by Kohl’s, East Tennessee Children’s Hospital and Safe Kids.

On Thursday, the Smokies will have the 2011 Daytona 500 winner and Knoxville native Trevor Bayne’s Nationwide Series show car in the entranceway prior to the 7:15 game, courtesy of Crawdad’s Classic.  Thursday is also another Pilot Prize Night – where everyone’s a winner.  As every Thursday, kids 12-and-under, with paid admission, will receive a free hot dog, bag of chips and a small soda, courtesy of Q93 FM.  Following the game, kids can come down and run the bases, courtesy of Shoney’s.

Friday’s 7:15 game is “Star Wars Night,” sponsored by Fountainhead College.  Prior to the game, the cast of Lumberjack Feud will perform pregame.  Fans will also have the opportunity to take home some cash in the Citizen National Bank Money Grab.  It’s also another “Fireworks Friday” at Smokies Park, courtesy of Pepsi, Coors Light, Knoxville News Sentinel, WVLT-TV 8 and WIVK-FM.

On Saturday’s 6:15 game will be Girl Scout Night.  And make sure to stay after the game for the Smokies postgame ball toss, sponsored by Fast Frame.

Smokies tickets can be purchased at www.smokiesbaseball.com or at (865) 286-2300.  Adult field level or bleacher seats are $10/$8.  Child (12-and-under) and senior (55+) field level or bleacher seats are $9/$7.  Fans buying tickets at least four hours before game time get  $1 off each ticket.

The Smokies Radio Network is the official radio network for the Chicago Cubs AA affiliate, the Tennessee Smokies. Daily broadcasts begin with the Pilot-Oscar Mayer pre-game show airing 15 minutes before every game. Following the game the broadcast concludes with the Edward Jones Investments post-game show.
