Southern League All-Star Game in Review for Smokies

Despite the North Division losing to the South Division 6-4, it was an overall successful campaign for all the players including the ones who participated for the Smokies at AT&T Park in Chattanooga in the Southern League All-Star Game.

Kris Bryant started at third base and played the entire game going 1-for-5. Hunter Cervenka came into the game in the 5th inning and pitched two-thirds of an inning, not allowing a run. P.J. Francescon came into the game in the 6th inning allowing a run on a solo home run and pitched the full inning while striking out a batter. Armando Rivero pitched a scoreless ninth inning while striking out two.

The game was not about who won or loss the game, but a chance for all the players to enjoy the moment. It was honor for them to be recognized as one of the top players in the league and got an opportunity to go out to have some fun while playing the game they love.
